Creating Beautiful Gift Boxes

I am the Queen of Recycling. I seriously have a hard time getting rid of anything that I know I can reuse! I tend to be frugal, but in a good way. (I also love the finer things in life)…

If I have a sturdy gift box, the wheels in my head always start turning as to how I can make it in to something more beautiful to be reused. There is nothing like receiving a gift in a beautiful gift box with gifts wrapped in coordinating tissue paper. It creates a sort of wonder and excitement in us! “What’s in this beautiful box covered in pretty tissue paper,” we ask?!

I’ve been making beautiful baby headbands for years. I call it my “Oooh La La Baby Girl” Collection! Right now I only have a few Baby Beanies and Headbands in my collection, but trust me, there’s more coming. My mind never shuts off when it comes to creating. It. Just. Doesn’t!

When I decided to group a few of my headbands together, and sell them that way, I’ve been selling more. It’s all about the beauty, I believe.

For my Baby Headband Gift Boxes, I decided to personalize them for an added unique touch! You will only need a few things to create a beautiful gift box like I did: Scrapbook Paper, Stickers, Rhinestones, Scissors, Rubber Cement and a Hot Glue Gun and a Hot Glue Stick:

I’ve not pictured the Rubber Cement, Hot Glue Gun w/Glue and Rhinestones, but most crafters have one on hand and Rubber Cement can be purchased at most office supply stores. I’ve boughten Scrapbook Paper at a myriad of places, including JoAnn’s Fabrics, Hobby Lobby and Michael’s and I always try to get it on sale. NEVER, I repeat NEVER, pay full price. I almost always get mine 40-50% off.

Once you have everything you need, find a coordinating piece of scrapbook paper to cover up things you don’t want visible on the box. In addition, I always find a place on the box where I can add the name of the person receiving the gift. (In this case, a Baby Girl name)!

Here’s one of the three I did recently and the name will be added on either side of the box where you see the strip of paper. I’ll use monogram stickers that make it pop!

I’m not going to tell you what the box is from I used here, but if you guess it, comment on this blog post! I covered up anything visible denoting the business. Voila! Brand New Gift Box! The Scrapbook paper matches perfectly with the orange, doesn’t it?

And this beauty is still for sale, just in time for winter! These headbands will keep baby girl’s ears nice and toasty! Grab it now while it’s still available for a Precious Baby Shower Gift, Welcome Baby or even Christmas. Here’s the Link-ity Link. Just type in carolediannedesigns.com and go to the Featured Collections portion of my Shopify Store and you’ll find it! Each Rosette has a clip on the back so you can interchange them. They are typical Newborn Size and fit a head circumference of 13-15 inches!

Here’s another beautiful gift box I did recently for a friend’s granddaughter in California. Isn’t it lovely?

I simply used adhesive Rhinestones from a sheet and adhesive Glitter Monogram lettering. Once again, these can be purchased at all major craft stores in the scrapbooking aisles and even at the Dollar Tree!

I hope I’ve inspired you save those heavy boxes that will make perfect gift boxes and GET CrEaTiVe! Post pictures below on this blog post if you do. I’d absolutely LOVE it if you’d share your creations! HAPPY CREATING FRIENDS!
